Bryson Ruff, Charlie Sigmon Racing (CSR), and the No. 24 Barringer Construction/ Victory Lane Indoor Karting/ Wild Bill Fitness machine returned to Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) after a scheduled off-week for the track.
The young driver qualified 6th, but immediately after their qualifying run, the team discovered a piece of rubber was stuck in the throttle linkage, preventing full throttle extension. As soon as the green flag flew on the first of the evening’s twin features, Bryson went to work and made his way to 4th before the checkered flag flew.
After the invert for the second twin event, Bryson started 5th but was turned early in the race sending him to the back for a restart. He picked his way through the field and had some great side-by-side racing before getting up to 4th. Unfortunately, a spin after the white flag came out sent him back to the rear and a 10th-place finish.
The team will return to Hickory for another night of racing next Saturday, April 1st.
