Bryson Ruff and CSR Overcome Adversity at Hickory to Earn 5th Victory of the Season

As the Charlie Sigmon Racing team with driver Bryson Ruff and the No. 24 Barringer Construction/ Victory Lane Indoor Karting/ Wild Bill Fitness machine returned to Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on Saturday, May 29th, everyone was hoping to carry their momentum on to another victory. Unfortunately, ten laps into practice, a shock mount broke and the team missed the rest of practice.

In an attempt to properly set stagger, the team was approved by the track officials to take two laps in Late Model Stock practice, but that decision was not well received. Ultimately the decision was made to force Bryson to start the race from the rear. After Mother Nature won on Saturday, the team was hoping Sunday’s feature would be a success despite the struggles of the weekend. After the green flag flew, Bryson drove a patient, smart, respectful race as he worked his way through the field. He managed to take the top spot and crossed the stripe first for his fifth win of the year.
