On Friday, October 5th, Young Lions driver Bryson Ruff returned to Concord Speedway (NC) in his No. 24 Bojangles’/ Barringer Construction/ Your Pie/ Victory Lane Indoor Karting / Wild Bill Fitness machine to take on the final two races of the track’s fall racing series and the 2018 INEX points season. Ruff dominated Friday night’s event, earning the pole and leading every lap of the race before taking yet another trip to Victory Lane.
The following evening, Ruff returned to the track without his Crew Chief, qualified 3rd, and quickly moved up to second. Unfortunately, contact with another driver forced him to restart in the back of the field late in the race. Ruff crossed the stripe in 5th position.
Despite the disappointing final night, Ruff’s stellar performance throughout the year at Concord earned him the track championship for 2018.
The team will take a couple of weeks off before heading out to the desert for Asphalt Nationals at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (NV) on October 26th & 27th.
