Bryson Ruff, the Charlie Sigmon Racing team, and their No. 24 Barringer Construction/ Victory Lane Indoor Karting/ Wild Bill Fitness machine returned to Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 10th on the heels of their 7th victory of the season before a weekend off for the July 4th holiday. Unfortunately, multiple issues plagued the car and the driver throughout the day.
While Bryson, who was recovering from a foot surgery earlier in the week, battled a debilitating migraine complete with nausea and vomiting, the car had major electrical issues that began early on and caused the team to miss their qualifying run. Fortunately, the CSR team fought back and finally were able to get the car fired just before the field rolled off for their feature. Bryson started at the rear, was involved in a mess on the first lap that caused the car to overheat, but the driver and team stayed focused and worked their way up to an impressive 2nd place finish despite all they had endured.
This is the little team that could, each and every week.
