After three races plagued by electrical and motor issues, plus a driver recovering from surgery, Bryson Ruff, the Charlie Sigmon Racing team, and the No. 24 Barringer Construction/ Victory Lane Indoor Karting/ Wild Bill Fitness machine returned to Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on Saturday, August 9th looking for a chance at redemption.
The day started well with Bryson setting fast time and leading a large portion of the race. Unfortunately, as he began to lap the rear of the field, one competitor, who seemed to be struggling to hold their line, came down on the No. 24 causing damage that required a fire extinguisher and a pit stop.
Never one to be deterred, Bryson got back on track and fought hard to earn a 3rd-place position and retained the points lead.
