Round 3 of Bojangles’ Summer Shootout and Looking For Speed

Bryson and the Devo Motorsports team took their No. 24 Barringer Construction/ Your Pie/ Victory Lane Indoor Karting/ Wild Bill Fitness machine and  rolled into Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC) for Round 3 of Bojangles Summer Shootout. Sporting a brand new paint scheme, Bryson was hopeful to showcase his car and talents.

In practice, the team struggled to find speed. Tossing everything they had into it, they couldn’t seem to find what exactly the problem was. Bryson rolled out for qualifying and gave it everything he and the car had. With a time of 17.871, this would be good enough to start tenth. The Pro division didn’t run a heat race. Bryson was happy about that, but then realized it could’ve potentially given him a higher starting position.

It was time for the Pro feature. Bryson took his place in tenth position on the grid. Once the field took the green, Bryson knew he had one way to go and that was forward. In turn one off of the initial start, Bryson started his march. He took the ninth position with ease. He then set his eyes on the next car in front of him. It would be in the exact same spot as before that he would overtake the eighth place machine. It appeared that the team had overcome their earlier lack of speed, but unfortunately, the cars ahead of him were just too strong and he would settle for an eighth place finish.
