After one off-season month in November, Bryson Ruff and his No. 24 Bojangles’/ Barringer Construction/ Your Pie/ Victory Lane Indoor Karting / Wild Bill Fitness machine returned to the race track on Saturday, December 15th and 16th for the first three rounds of the Winter Heat Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC), but this time as a Pro Division driver.
Saturday’s race was plagued by chilly temperatures and rain, hindering everyone for the first two races of the series. The Pros and Masters ran combined features and Ruff finished 3rd and 4th, respectively on Charlotte’s front-stretch quarter-mile track. The team returned Sunday with the sun shining and hardly a cloud in the sky. It was the perfect weather for Ruff to take his first Pro Division win after finishing 2nd overall to a Masters driver.
The team will take another month off in January and prepare for Winter Nationals at Citrus County Speedway (FL) in February.
